Blogging is commonly used by many teachers as a way for students to reflect their thoughts, brainstorm ideas and the list is endless. But very often, blogs tend to be unattended after the first few posts and subsequently forgotten in the process of learning.I personally have set blogs as projects for my students and eventually many of these blogs are still hanging around in the cyberspace.
So What is glogging?
A gloster is an interactive board, kind of like a poster. It is pretty much like the big posters that you get students to make for their projects. So glogster is like the virtual version of those big posters.
Examples:

The best part of gloster is that they have an education version for teachers. This allow teachers to create accounts for their students directly. I am not going to spell out all the benefits of gloster as you can see for yourselves at their website. Instead I would like to share with you how I infused the use of gloster for my geography lesson with my Sec 2s.
Basically, I used glogster as an introduction to a topic in their Sec 2 geography syllabus. Students are to read through some pages in their textbook and summarise their knowledge of it using glogster. After which you can use their glogster to consolidate and teach them more details about the topic.
The steps of using gloster edu account is summarised in the video below.
