I am sure all will agree that PowerPoint is widely used in our daily teaching! I for one always choose to use PowerPoint slides for most of my frontal teaching.
For this post, I shall introduce an alternative to PowerPoint! Ta Da!! Lets welcome "Prezi"!!
Prezi is something i discovered when I attended a presentation by some scholars that came to my school for a mini project. One group used the traditional PowerPoint while the other group used Prezi. And guess which caught my eye??
Prezi is a simple way of changing the way you present your concepts/ideas to your students.
It allows easy embedding of videos and pictures. You can zoom in on details to emphasis important messages to the students. Zoom out to show them the big picture. Best of all, it is totally free and easy to use.
Personally there is one more thing I like about Prezi and that is it saves your work online. So you can edit your presentation on your home computer or your laptop at work without pre-saving them on your thumb drive or emailing your uncompleted presentation to yourself.
